Reconfirmed - Montes Vigil descent from William the Conqueror! Dr. Ron Maestas was recently accepted into the Order of Descendants of El Cid. This also also has William I in the lineage.

The Montes Vigil lineage through the Ponce de Leons' to Alfonso IX's mistress was discovered by Brent Cruz and confirmed by Jose A Esquibel, Henrietta Christmas, and Nathan Murphy AG, and others around 2018. The other of Cruz's discovered pedigree through Alfonso's legitimate wife Berengaria of Castile was just affirmed in March by Alexander Bannerman. The first Vigil descendant to be confirmed through this lineage is Coach and author Dr. Ron Maestas. Congrats! This now means the Vigil Clan has a line to England and Scotland.
